Used Truck Campers Do Campers On The Back Of A Truck Use Up Gas?

Do campers on the back of a truck use up gas? - used truck campers

Well, if my father has a friend Nissan van with a camper shell on it ... he thinks it helps the gas, but I disagree ... I think that it consumes more gas, because wind resistance ... Am I right or is it?

Right - the more drag and more weight on a vehicle, a larger amount of gas.

Even if you weigh 100 pounds, which affects fuel economy, including studies, the beds of trucks leads to even greater fuel economy (why so many people eliminate their back doors) still showed the wrong time. The air resistance caused by a truck has an effect on the economy is so small that hardly measurable. So, yes, the elimination of the weight will help the economy, but an empty cargo box is not hurt.

There is no possibility that gas could help. Wind resistance + weight, the need for the truck on the speed, add the engine to get going. More weight, more gas.
